I am a Senior Backend Engineer specializing in Python web development, with expertise in building microservices based on event-driven architectures, also with a strong frontend development skills, working proficiently with React and Next.js frameworks.
I am a Full-Stack Developer with 14 years of personal experience and 10 years of professional expertise. My career began in 2010, during my undergraduate studies in Computer Engineering at Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), where I worked as a freelance web developer specializing in Java and Python. This role required me to gain proficiency in system administration, a skill I honed over the years by managing Linux servers on Amazon AWS and, more recently, Google Cloud.
Currently, I serve as an IT consultant for companies based in Brazil and I am also the Head of Engineering at Polymatiks, a Canadian company specializing in AI-driven solutions for e-commerce platforms. At Polymatiks, I oversee the development of cutting-edge technologies that support high-traffic e-commerce platforms, serving an impressive roster of clients.
My journey with technology began early, in 1997, when I got my first computer. That was when I discovered the internet and immersed myself exploring and learning everything I could about it. In 2002, I developed an interest in programming and started learning C++ to analyze DLL files for game bots. This initial exploration of programming led to my first significant project: developing a mobile game using Java ME (formerly J2ME). From that moment, I knew that a career in technology was my calling.
The rise of social networks, such as Orkut, sparked my interest in web development, leading me to learn PHP for building systems. Over time, I explored various technologies and eventually found my foundation in Python and Django, a stack I’ve specialized in since.
In 2010, while pursuing my undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering, I began working as a freelance developer. I delivered projects end-to-end, managing everything from development to server infrastructure. This hands-on experience opened opportunities for full-time roles, but I remained focused on my studies, providing consulting services to several companies in parallel.
In 2015, I started my first full-time position at an e-commerce platform company. There, I experienced exponential growth, mastering industry best practices such as DevOps, Agile/Scrum, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and systems architecture. I played a pivotal role in the migration from a monolithic architecture to microservices, leading strategic decisions for significant parts of the ecosystem. These contributions not only advanced the platform's capabilities but also demonstrated my ability to align technology with business goals, ultimately paving the way for my promotion to Head of Engineering.
Currently, I serve as Head of Engineering for a Canadian company, where I continue to oversee the entire product development lifecycle, drive innovation through new platform functionalities, and ensure alignment between technological advancements and business goals. My mission is to lead initiatives that deliver exceptional value, foster technological excellence, and support the company’s ongoing growth and success.

Opportunities that arose from companies that i developed for, kepted committed in projects as development consultant. I'm still consulting at least 4 of them.
Begun alongside my undergraduate studies, I worked on various web projects utilizing the Python Django framework. Frequently working independently, I developed strong sysadmin skills, managing Linux servers and services on Amazon AWS over the years.
